Position Overview We’re looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Fulfillment Lead who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and helping a small team do great work. This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring inventory accuracy, and building efficient workflows while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. You’ll start by managing a small team of 2–3 team members, with full ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations. As the company grows, this role is designed to scale into a senior operations leadership position. Responsibilities Order Processing & Shipping Receive, review, and process purchase orders, checking quantities, deadlines, and customer shipping requirements. Maintain a shipment schedule and coordinate with production to ensure products are ready when needed. Coordinate freight quotes, pickups, delivery appointments, and shipment tracking. Prepare and verify bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and pallet labels. Pick, pack, and ship website, wholesale, and retail orders alongside the team. Respond to fulfillment emails, communicate order updates, and help resolve shortages, delays, and shipping issues. Inventory & Warehouse Organization Track raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods, including receipts, transfers, and shipments. Conduct regular inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and keep records current. Maintain accurate receiving, shipping, inventory, lot, and expiration logs. Follow stock rotation procedures and flag shortages, aging inventory, or damaged products. Keep storage locations clearly labeled and the warehouse safe, clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Team Leadership & Process Improvement Assign daily tasks, communicate priorities, and monitor progress for a team of 2–3 associates. Train team members on picking, packing, receiving, documentation, and safe equipment use. Check work for accuracy and address issues with clear, respectful feedback. Identify practical improvements that reduce errors, save time, and make daily work easier. Follow and reinforce company safety and food handling procedures. Keep leadership informed of issues early, with suggested solutions whenever possible. Foster a positive, high-performance work environment. Lead by example with strong work ethic and communication. Requirements Strong attention to detail. Accuracy in inventory and fulfillment is non-negotiable. Proven experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, inventory control, or logistics. Experience leading a small team or coordinating daily warehouse work; formal supervisory experience is a plus. Ability to prioritize multiple orders and deadlines in a busy environment. Comfort using email, spreadsheets, shipping software, and inventory systems. Clear communication skills and confidence corresponding with customers, carriers, and teammates. Willingness to jump in, solve problems, and follow through. Forklift and pallet jack experience, or willingness to complete required training and certification. Ability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving packages weighing up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods. Experience with food manufacturing, lot tracking, Shopify, or major retailer shipping requirements, including Costco, is a plus.
