What if your next role connected millions? At Prysmian, the global standard-bearer in energy and telecom cable systems, we build the power and communications infrastructure the world relies on—from medium/low voltage solutions for construction and infrastructure to optical fiber, copper, and connectivity for voice, video, and data. With 30,000 employees in more than 50 countries, we believe your work can make a visible impact. Discover your path. Is this you? Do you enjoy orchestrating shipping and receiving in a busy DC or manufacturing environment? Are you fluent in SAP—allocating orders and executing PGI without breaking a sweat? Can you juggle multiple priorities, keep details straight, and communicate clearly with teams and carriers? If yes, you could be the partner our DC Manager counts on every day. You’ll be a senior contributor in a tight-knit team—no direct reports, but plenty of influence. How you’ll contribute Keep freight moving: Run daily shipping/receiving, process documentation, and complete system postings accurately. Master SAP workflows: Execute shipping, receiving, and order-processing transactions—order allocation, PGI (post goods issue), and more. Align the network: Coordinate schedules and updates with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, Transportation, carriers, and drivers. Own the paperwork: Prepare bills of lading and required shipping documents. Plan the outbound: Support truck planning and shipment coordination to meet delivery windows. Guard inventory accuracy: Triage inventory questions, assist Customer Service, and help with cycle counts and reconciliation. Protect data integrity: Maintain precise records across systems. Handle small parcels: Ship samples and manage UPS and other small-package moves. Be a utility player: Jump into other DC tasks as assigned to keep operations humming. What you’ll need High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on SAP experience across shipping, receiving, and logistics workflows. Background in distribution center or warehouse operations. Experience coordinating with internal teams and external partners (carriers/drivers). APICS/CPIM or similar certification is a plus but not required. Strengths that will help you shine Working knowledge of end-to-end shipping/receiving processes. Calm under pressure in a fast-paced, high-performance setting. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks at once. Meticulous attention to detail paired with practical problem-solving. Strong written and verbal communication. Cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation. Analytical and critical thinking for smart decision-making. Confidence navigating SAP and other systems; proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Curiosity: asking informed questions and gathering the right information.
