Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, push/pull and needs to manage inventory and facilitate smooth warehouse operations. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely shipping and receiving processes while maintaining high safety standards and supporting overall warehouse distribution activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and stack materials within the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections and repairs as necessary of damaged pallets Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy. Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment and manual handling techniques to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Load and unload shipments while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets correctly and ensuring materials are stored securely. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation and updating inventory records accordingly. Support warehouse distribution efforts by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and workflow. Follow all safety standards in production environments, ensuring heavy lifting is performed with proper techniques to prevent injuries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management tasks and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using manual handling techniques. Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry tasks. Experience in shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with materials handling best practices and warehouse distribution procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork in fast-paced environments. Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities. Ability to perform routine equipment repairs or troubleshooting minor issues independently.
