This position pays $22.70 per hour, with eight-hour shifts, five days per week. What You Will Do: Follow all safety guidelines and contribute as an empowered team member to the organization-wide goal of zero incidents. Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and store materials and products. Receive incoming shipments: unload trucks, inspect goods, and document shortages or damaged items on the bill of lading. Put away materials in designated locations or as assigned by the supervisor. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, scanning, labeling, and palletizing products. Load dry vans, refrigerated trailers, and box trucks. Generate packing slips and bills of lading. Record incoming and outgoing deliveries and shipments on log sheets. Maintain a clean, orderly assigned work area, including loading scrap and recyclable materials into trailers and outside pallet dumpsters. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. What You’ll Need: 18+ years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Prior sit-down forklift operation and material handling experience required. Successful completion of required forklift training and a workplace operator evaluation before operating equipment independently. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Basic computer knowledge required; familiarity with PC use and basic data entry operations preferred. Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail, including inspecting boxes, cartons, finished products, and other materials for quality. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery continuously. Ability to routinely lift objects weighing 25 lbs. and push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
