Warehouse Forklift Driver (1st shift)

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Driver (1st shift), where your expertise will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you'll operate various types of heavy equipment, including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks, to handle materials with precision and safety. Your skills will ensure timely loading, unloading, and order picking, contributing directly to our warehouse operations success. Duties Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments. Perform order picking using designated equipment and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Manage warehouse inventory through proper materials handling techniques and utilize warehouse management systems for tracking and documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other equipment. Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage or dispatch. Support warehouse operations activities by organizing stock locations, stacking pallets safely, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow efficiency and adhere to OSHA and UFI safety standards for heavy equipment operation. Other duties will be assigned as needed. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling safety protocols. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Effective communication skills in English (read, speak and write) to coordinate with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment. Spanish bilingual preferred. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
