Join Our Team! Warehouse employees are important members of the ABC team, who make sure that product is ready for shipment to our 130+ stores. Team members work in a physically demanding environment where meeting productivity standards and safety standards are required. The Warehouse Floater is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties including shipping, receiving and humidor as well as being able to serve as Order Selector, Forklift Operator, Loader, and/or Picker/Packer when needed. The position is physically demanding and includes driving forklift and other equipment. The hours of this position are: Monday - Thursday 7am - 6pm. Some additional evening or weekend hours may be needed during busy seasons. Specific Job Responsibilities Serves as a floater in all areas of the ABC warehouse/distribution center Anticipates and observes needs and “jumps in” as needed in various departments during work shift Liasons with warehouse team leader to communicate observed needs in the warehouse and respond to changing needs as needed Ensure deliveries are completed in a timely manner and verifies loads with shipping documents Inspects the shipping areas to ensure quality standards are being met Assists the shipping team leader by reviewing and adjusting the needs of production for each individual shipping area Operates a forklift, stock picker or turret truck to assist in the movement of product throughout the distribution center, when assistance is needed Assists and trains new team members as needed upon request of supervisor Inspects the warehouse for safety standards, such as reviewing that all areas are free from obstacles that may hinder the safe operation of the facility Serves as a senior team member, able to work in multiple departments Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Warehouse Responsibilities – All Employees Follow all ABC safety protocols Promptly report and clean up spills, breakage or other issues Lift 35-50-pound cases, sometimes a hundred times a day Stand on feet for 10+ hours a day Maintain minimum productivity standards per department Assemble boxes for spilt case line Clean, sanitize, and keep warehouse tidy Prepare work area for next day, including charging equipment and organizing area Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education Job Specific Requirements 5+ years proven work experience in a warehouse environment Expertise in warehouse procedures and best practices Must be a team player, including the ability to communicate well with others Must be able to work independently with little supervision Strong knowledge of AS400 Warehouse Systems Must be able to work a full-time schedule, with occasional nights and weekends during busy seasons. Standard hours are 7am – 6 pm Monday – Thursday. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills Certified in forklift operations Able to use a picker machine, turret truck, and other equipment as needed Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to assess and react quickly to changing warehouse needs Able to prioritize work independently for the biggest positive impact to warehouse operations Warehouse Requirements – All Employees 19 years of age or older Must pass both drug and background checks prior to starting work Must speak and understand job-level English Have a positive teamwork attitude; is reliable and trust-worthy Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodations Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time, upwards of 10 hours at a time, and move throughout the warehouse Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of product Must be able to reach with hands and arms for product and use hands to work with and feel product Able to frequently climb and descend ladders or lift platforms that may be greater than 6 feet.
