Job Summary: This is professional work supervising warehouse staff and coordinating, managing and monitoring all aspects of the daily operation of the District’s capital asset inventory and two warehouses to ensure accountability.
Job duties include:
Ability To:
Operate a forklift and other equipment generally used in the management of a warehouse. Effectively and professionally interact with individuals; present ideas and findings clearly and concisely; communicate effectively and persuasively in a professional manner both written and orally; analyze and interpret financial data and proposals; schedule, reallocate, and prioritize resources/workload to maximize responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness; and exercise independent judgment. Work independently and follow direction from management. Ability to multi-task and aggressively follow through with warehouse policies and procedures to maintain an orderly process flow.
Skilled In:
Warehouse management and inventory control; record keeping; organizing and prioritizing; proficient use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); automated procurement and financial systems; effective verbal and written communication; and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
An associate degree in business administration, accounting or a related field and five years of experience in procurement or inventory management, one of which must be leading a project team, coordinating activities of a workgroup, or serving as a team lead.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a related field and three years of experience in procurement or inventory management, one of which must be leading a project team, coordinating activities of a workgroup, or serving as a team lead.
Professional experience in procurement, inventory management, or accounting may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
General office environment sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to work in an outdoor environment in uncomfortable temperatures.
Additional Details:
Starting Salary Range: $61,318.40 - $76,648.00
Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
