Special Olympics Connecticut, Inc.Special Olympics Connecticut is seeking a Warehouse & Facility Manager to oversee the organization’s warehouse, facilities, equipment, and operational logistics. This hands-on leader will ensure that facilities and resources are safe, organized, well-maintained, and ready to support year-round programming and events. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, dependable professional who enjoys solving problems, managing multiple priorities, and working collaboratively to support the mission of Special Olympics Connecticut and the athletes it serves. *** Please note, Special Olympics Connecticut is relocating to its new headquarters in Bristol, CT in May of 2027. Currently, the warehouse is located in Hamden, CT until then. SUMMARY : Oversees the daily operation and organization of a 3,000 sq. ft. warehouse of supplies and equipment. Conducts periodic inventory and coordinates replenishment as needed to maintain appropriate levels. Responsible for pulling, preparing, and organizing equipment for sporting competitions and SOCT events based on requested needs. Secures and coordinates vendors and services for sporting events. Oversees the upkeep, maintenance, and general organization of SOCT headquarters. This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring some evening and weekend work. PRIMARY DUTIES - Manage warehouse operations and assist with the maintenance and operation of organizational facilities, including coordinating custodial services, preventative maintenance, fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections, security, vendor services, and building repairs to ensure safe, clean, and efficient facilities - Conducts inventory and replenishes supplies accordingly. Orders supplies from an appropriate vendor - Accepts shipments and deliveries for staff members, puts items away as needed - Interacts with all staff and works collaboratively on preparations for upcoming events and competitions - Responsible for loading equipment & supplies before events and unloading and putting away equipment after events - Maintains company van & pick-up truck, keep in clean working order; maintain mileage sheets - Repairs or chooses an appropriate vendor to maintain equipment in working order - Secures supplies needed for games such as awards, port-o-lets, golf carts, tents, tables, chairs, grills, etc. - Orders all office supplies; annually sources best pricing, maintains 2nd floor copier - Secures PODS, trucks and drivers when needed - Operate trucks and other organization-owned vehicles on an occasional basis to transport equipment, supplies, and materials - Is aware of and complies with SOCT’s policies, procedures, and non-discrimination policy - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook - Must have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License SECONDARY DUTIES - Attends necessary department meetings as needed. - Staff support at State Competitions and Divisioning Tournaments - Attend special events, fundraisers, and SOCT-sponsored events at the discretion of a supervisor - Any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor and/or the CEO - Work with department members to secure volunteers for loading, unloading, and setup EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Demonstrated experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, facility maintenance, safety, and vendors - Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures, safety programs, and process improvements. - Strong communication skills, positive attitude and willingness to work interdepartmentally Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
