Warehouse & Equipment Supervisor W.T. Howell & Sons, Inc. Eastman, GA Full-Time Starting at $50,000 per year — higher compensation available based on experience and responsibility About the Position W.T. Howell & Sons, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hands-on Warehouse & Equipment Supervisor to help lead our warehouse and steel-processing operation. We aren't looking for someone who simply wants a supervisor title. We need someone who will take ownership, keep work moving, solve problems, follow through, and work alongside our team when needed. This is an important position within our company. The right person will work closely with management to help oversee employees, customer orders, cutting and processing, inventory, equipment, safety, and the overall flow of work through our warehouse. There will always be management support, but we need someone who can recognize a problem, make appropriate decisions, and follow through without waiting for someone else to handle everything. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading the Warehouse Team Help direct warehouse employees and establish daily priorities Make sure employees know what they should be working on Keep work moving throughout the day Follow up on incomplete work Hold employees accountable for completing assigned tasks Work alongside the team when necessary Customer Orders & Production Help move customer orders from paperwork to cutting, processing, staging, and loading Make sure cutting and processing work continues moving Follow up on jobs that have not been completed Help troubleshoot incorrect or incomplete customer orders Communicate production problems or delays to the office Help prevent jobs and customer issues from falling through the cracks Inventory & Material Help identify inventory discrepancies Resolve material-location problems Make sure material is properly identified and stored Help improve inventory accuracy and warehouse organization Investigate problems rather than simply passing them along to someone else Equipment & Maintenance Keep an eye on the condition of forklifts, cranes, saws, trucks, trailers, and other warehouse equipment Help troubleshoot minor equipment problems Coordinate repairs when necessary Follow up to make sure equipment issues actually get resolved Help identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems Safety & Organization Help maintain a safe working environment Reinforce company safety procedures Address unsafe practices when they are observed Help keep the warehouse organized and operating efficiently Who We're Looking For Steel experience is helpful, but it is not required . Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial maintenance, construction, trucking, heavy equipment, warehouse operations, production supervision, or a similar hands-on environment may translate well to this position. It is also not a position where your only responsibility is telling employees what to do.
