Responsibilities Load and unload freight using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secure for transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management, organizing stock, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or pallet jacks; certification is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot issues. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and customers. Ability to move freight safely using appropriate handling techniques and equipment. Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory processes and safety protocols.
