Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trailers and trucks.
• Sort, stack, and palletize freight per shipping documentation.
• Utilize pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) to handle materials.
• Verify freight counts and condition with bills of lading or manifests.
• Tag, label, and stage freight in the specified areas of the warehouse.
• Keep the dock and work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper lifting techniques.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet shipping deadlines.
Essential Skills
• Experience with freight loading and unloading.
• Ability to palletize and shrink wrap efficiently.
• Forklift operation (certification preferred).
• Proficient in using pallet jacks.
• Basic skills in inventory counting and verification.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
• Strong manual material handling skills.
• Effective time management abilities.
• Excellent team communication skills.
