Warehouse & Distribution Associate Location: Tacoma, WA Job Type: Temporary / Contract (Temp-to-Hire opportunities available) Shift Options: Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts available (Overtime as needed) Hourly Rate: $17.00 – $22.00/hour (Depending on shift and experience) About the Role We are seeking motivated individuals to join our logistics and distribution team in Tacoma. This role is vital to our supply chain operations, where you will handle inventory, prepare shipments, and maintain an orderly facility. Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Shipping Picking & Packing: Utilize RF scanners, pick lists, and WMS to pull items accurately, ensuring customer orders are packed, labeled, and wrapped securely for shipping. Staging & Loading: Organize and assemble packing lists while ensuring pallets are wrapped correctly and trucks are loaded efficiently to help maintain a seamless outbound shipping process. Value-Added Services: Execute specialized tasks such as light assembly, ticketing, labeling, and repacking based on specific client requirements. Receiving & Inventory Inbound Freight: Inspect incoming goods for damage, verify manifest details, and sort shipments as they arrive from trailers. Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, stock replenishment, and daily checks to ensure physical inventory levels align with system records for better operational accuracy. Material Handling: Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse using manual or powered tools like pallet jacks and dollies, with on-site training available for specialized equipment. Safety & Compliance Facility Upkeep: Keep the workspace clean and clear of debris such as cardboard and shrink wrap to help foster a safer environment for the entire team. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine visual checks on all warehouse machinery prior to operation. Safety Protocols: Follow all established safety policies, wear required protective gear, and immediately report any potential hazards to help maintain a secure workplace. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: While prior logistics or warehouse experience is beneficial, we welcome dedicated entry-level candidates and provide full training. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with inventory software or RF scanning equipment is highly valued. Reliability: Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality by arriving on time for every scheduled shift. Soft Skills: Exhibit strong time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly process verbal instructions and safety alerts to ensure smooth operations. Physical Demands & Work Environment Lifting: Ability to consistently carry, lift, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Movement: Capability to stand, walk, crouch, stoop, and reach throughout the duration of your shift. Environment: Be prepared for seasonal temperature changes and exposure to typical warehouse noise levels from ongoing operations.
