sponsibilities:
• Part of the job description for this role involves the accurate and efficient receipt of merchandise from a range of different suppliers, which involves carefully checking each shipment, verifying its contents against packing slips and purchase orders, and keeping detailed records.
• Conduct detailed checks on the received merchandise to verify compliance with the stipulated quality guidelines. Any identified instances of poor quality or non-conformity should be reported immediately to the concerned personnel for appropriate action.
• Organize received inventory for storage in a systematic manner. Ensure that the inventory items are arranged in a way that makes it easy to access and handle them.
• To ensure efficient receiving operations, it is essential to maintain a detailed record of all deliveries that come in, including quantities, the state of products, and any variances. Generate periodic reports to gauge performance and inventory levels.
• Ensure timely resolution of receiving-related inquiries or issues by coordinating with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers. Effectively communicate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• It is a prerequisite for this role that the candidates hold a high school diploma or an equivalent certification. Nevertheless, individuals who have pursued further education or certification in logistics or supply chain management will be favored.
• Familiarity and experience with warehouse operations, notably in the areas of receiving and inventory management.
• Talent in working with both inventory management software and barcode scanning systems.
• Great vigilance towards minute particulars and capability in maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced workplace.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Communication skills play a vital role in being able to build and maintain strong professional and personal relationships.
• Capability to lift and relocate weighty materials, as per requirement.
