Warehouse Coordinator/Parts Runner
SAWH VOLTCOMM INC.Job Overview We are seeking an organized, dependable, and energetic Warehouse Coordinator / Parts Runner to join our Operations & Logistics team in Jamaica, NY. This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse coordination, inventory control, parts management, and local delivery/runner responsibilities . You will help keep our warehouse organized and our field technicians properly supplied with the parts, tools, and materials they need to complete their work efficiently. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, physically active, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of warehouse work, driving, logistics, and daily problem-solving. Responsibilities Warehouse Coordination & Inventory Control Maintain accurate daily inventory records for warehouse stock and technician vehicles. Monitor inventory levels and establish appropriate reorder points. Receive, organize, label, and safely store parts, tools, equipment, and materials. Verify incoming and outgoing materials against invoices, packing lists, purchase orders, and other documentation. Perform routine inventory audits and cycle counts. Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies promptly. Maintain an organized warehouse layout that allows for efficient retrieval of parts and materials. Parts Runner & Delivery Operations Pull and prepare parts, tools, equipment, and materials for daily field operations. Deliver materials directly to technicians and job sites as needed. Pick up parts, supplies, and special-order items from local vendors and distributors. Respond to urgent parts requests to support field technicians and operations. Safely load, unload, and secure materials in company vehicles or trailers. Maintain the assigned company vehicle in a clean, organized, and properly fueled condition. Communicate delivery status, delays, and other issues to dispatch, supervisors, and internal teams. Safety & General Operations Follow OSHA requirements and all company safety policies and procedures. Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work environment. Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, parts management, or a related field. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record . Experience driving cargo vans, light commercial vehicles, or similar vehicles preferred. Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, handheld scanners, inventory systems, or warehouse management software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 65 lbs. regularly . Strong communication and teamwork skills. Schedule & Overtime This is a full-time position . Due to the seasonal nature of the HVAC industry, additional overtime may be required during peak summer and winter periods . Candidates must be willing to work additional hours when operational needs require. Preferred Qualifications Active forklift certification. Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or mechanical parts distribution. Experience managing technician vehicle inventory. Familiarity with Jobber, WMS, RF scanners, or similar inventory/logistics systems.
