Warehouse Coordinator
ConfidentialWarehouse & Inventory Coordinator Astoria, NY (On-Site) | Full-Time | $24.00 to $30.00 per hour Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM | Overtime eligible About the role Most warehouse jobs treat you like a pair of hands. Scan it, shelf it, forget it. This one is different. Airlogix is a second-generation family-owned commercial HVAC and refrigeration company with over 40 years serving the five boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, and Westchester. Our Astoria warehouse is the front end of every service call. A technician who rolls out without the right part is a client sitting in a hot building or a kitchen that cannot open. This is a warehouse job, straight through. Freight lands and you check it, count it, and put it where it belongs. Technicians need material staged and you have it ready before they ask. The building stays clean and safe because you keep it that way. You are not buying material and you are not managing vendors. You are running the floor. What you will do Receiving and offloading Offload inbound trucks and check freight against the order before you sign for it Catch short shipments, wrong material, and damage on the dock, not weeks later Log received material in ServiceTrade the same day Break down pallets, move freight by forklift or pallet jack, put material away to a fixed, labeled location Organization and stock control Own the layout: bins labeled, aisles clear, fast-moving material where it belongs Pull, stage, and kit parts, tools, and equipment by job so crews load fast and roll on time Track what leaves the building and who took it Run counts, investigate variances, and correct the count Process outbound shipments, warranty claims, and core returns Support fleet and equipment tracking, including tools assigned out and due back The building Keep the warehouse clean, swept, and safe every day Handle trash, recycling, and general housekeeping Make minor repairs and flag anything you cannot fix before it becomes a shutdown Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Lift and move material up to 50 pounds What we are looking for 3 to 5 years in warehouse, receiving, inventory, or distribution operations. Any industry. HVAC-R or mechanical supply is a strong plus, not a requirement Forklift and pallet jack capability. This is daily work. Certification preferred, and we can certify you if you have the hours behind you Organizational discipline above everything else. You keep material where it belongs and you can explain your system to anyone who walks in Receiving discipline: verify against the order, document the exception, close the loop the same day Comfort learning operational software. We use ServiceTrade and Google Workspace and we will train you Ability to work independently, set your own priorities, and finish what you start Steady communication with technicians, drivers, vendors, and office staff A valid driver's license Physical capability for warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet all day What we offer $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience, overtime eligible Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Company uniforms Ongoing training and exposure to inventory systems, logistics, and fleet support The HVAC-R trade itself, if that is where you want to go.
