As the Warehouse Clerk you will be is receiving, inspecting, storing, locating and delivery of field material from warehouse & vendors to field teams. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Maintain strict adherence to all company safety rules, regulations, procedures, and practices Maintain and organize assigned areas (i.e., warehouse, laydown areas, storage units) Check freight bills and purchase orders against physical shipment and report damage or discrepancies on incoming material Tag and log all incoming material and coordinate deliveries or pickup with departments Place material in proper storage area and document location Complete all necessary paperwork and reports for damaged and/or missing items Process and coordinate all returns to vendors with necessary paperwork Prepare material for delivery and coordinate/ notify proper persons of shipment and then schedule and execute deliveries Plan and organize material and tool storage in a manner that insures efficiency Track large tool assets with sign out/sign in information Maintain accurate warehouse inventory and documentation scheduled basis Plan and organize local fleet inventory and activities to include ensuring proper inspections and maintenance are obtained for all non-driver assigned vehicles Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work area. Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned. Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Possess knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management OSHA 10 Hour preferred. Possess forklift and material handling skills, prior forklift certification and a minimum of one year experience preferred Additional Requirements Ability to recognize piping, plumbing, mechanical related material, tools, and equipment. Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with customers and employees Knowledge of parts, tools and equipment associated with HVAC/plumbing systems Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm when handling emergencies Possess knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, DOT requirements, Hazmat materials and shipping procedures Demonstrate proficiency with technology (i.e., computers, barcode scanners, mobile devices); possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to make decisions based on information at hand Ability to work without direct supervision Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills. Ability to use technology and operate computer programs for order tracking, tool tracking, time tracking, shop material purchase orders, and related functions. Maintain a positive, cooperative, and coachable attitude. Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter. Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to walk, stand, squat, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, reach, grasp and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. Regular and predictable attendance. Must be able to fulfill the essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening. Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation. Ability to pass a physical ability test. Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
