cleanliness throughout our warehouse, production areas, employee break rooms, restrooms, and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and can complete assigned cleaning duties with minimal supervision.
Our warehouse operates in the electronics recycling and IT asset disposition (ITAD) industry. Maintaining a clean and organized facility is essential to employee safety, operational efficiency, and overall production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Cleaning & Maintenance
• Sweep, mop, and clean warehouse floors, walkways, and designated production areas.
• Remove trash, debris, cardboard, and other nonhazardous waste from assigned areas.
• Empty trash containers and replace liners throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize employee break rooms, lunch areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness around workstations, warehouse equipment, and storage areas without interfering with production operations.
• Clean tables, countertops, windows, doors, and other designated surfaces.
• Assist with maintaining designated recycling and waste disposal areas.
• Identify and report spills, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Properly use and store approved cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Follow established waste disposal and recycling procedures.
• Never handle hazardous materials, batteries, chemicals, or unidentified waste without proper authorization and training.
• Keep emergency exits, aisles, and walkways free of obstructions.
• Follow all security and restricted-access requirements.
Daily Operations
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain consistent productivity throughout the workday.
• Report supply shortages and maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with additional general housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Previous warehouse cleaning, industrial janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in an active warehouse and industrial environment.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning supplies, equipment, and safe handling procedures preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment safely.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
