Warehouse Checker

Job Summary:
The Checker / Stacker is responsible for verifying returned products and documentation from delivery drivers upon their return to the warehouse. This role ensures accurate identification of shortages, overages, and damages, and properly stacks and returns products to designated warehouse locations using a forklift and/or pallet jack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monday - Friday schedule. Midday hours 11am - Close
• Check in drivers upon return from delivery routes
• Verify returned products against invoices and delivery paperwork
• Identify, record, and report shortages, overages, and damaged items
• Ensure all discrepancies are accurately documented and communicated to supervisors
• Stack, organize, and return products to proper warehouse storage locations
• Safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to move and stack returned goods
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous route checking experience preferred
• Ability to read and verify delivery documents and basic inventory records
• Forklift and/or pallet jack operation experience (certification preferred or required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift, stack, and move products safely
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of warehouse safety and material handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and documentation skills
• Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May have to lift to 50 pounds.
