Role Description The Warehouse/Cafe Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, supporting both day-to-day warehouse operations and cafe activities. This role helps oversee inventory, receiving, packing, and order fulfillment, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse space. In the cafe, the Assistant Manager supports floor operations, coordinates staff schedules, assists with training, and ensures consistent quality in beverage and food preparation. The role also includes managing opening and closing procedures, monitoring stock levels for coffee and cafe items, and communicating operational needs to leadership. The Assistant Manager collaborates closely with the roasting and cafe teams to deliver excellent guest service and efficient workflows. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Sales skills to engage guests, respond to inquiries, and support retail transactions. Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal communication with team members and accurate documentation of orders and inventory. Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service settings, with knowledge of safe handling practices and basic cafe operations. Prior experience in a coffee shop, cafe, or warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to lift and move boxes of coffee and supplies safely, and stand for extended periods during shifts. Basic inventory management, organization, and time-management skills to support both warehouse and cafe workflows. Comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic office or warehouse software tools. Leadership potential, including the ability to guide team members, support training, and uphold company standards. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in hospitality, logistics, or management is a plus.
