The starting pay for the successful candidate will start at step 1) DEPARTMENT: Distribution JOB SUMMARY: The Bakery Checker ensures the accurate receipt, preparation, and shipment of bakery products within the distribution facility. Some key duties include verifying incoming invoices, loading and unloading delivery trucks, managing bread racks, and general cleanup around the bakery distribution facility. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Verify all incoming invoices Fill orders to be shipped to the stores Check bread against store orders to insure proper shipment Unload delivery trucks and stack full bread racks Unload empty bread racks from trucks Wash bread racks and return to Bakery Distribution General cleanup around Bakery Distribution Facility Communication with supervisors, forepersons, and others as required Assist with other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age Experience with loading and unloading delivery trucks and stocking Must have basic math and reading skills Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays Must maintain a sense of integrity and ability to work well with others Must possess the ability to complete given assignment within allotted time periods in a safe and diligent manner Physical ability to do moderate to heavy lifting, reaching, twisting, stooping, bending and other movements on a repetitive basis Must be able to work in a distribution environment where temperatures may range up to / over 80 degrees Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test Additional Information: Applications will be received until a sufficient number of applications are received.
