HOME DAILY position Reliable Monday - Friday schedule with a 6:30am start time, with occasional weekend support to assist the team. Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment The production operator will assist in moving industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and supporting the loading/unloading of cylinders from delivery trucks. As a representative of Airgas, the delivery driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. Using a company-provided CDL B truck you will help bridge the gap between our plant and our valued customers. This position focuses on the loading, unloading , and delivery of cylinders while fostering positive interactions with Airgas customers. Airgas operates a modern and advanced fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-supportive technology such as On-Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology, and GPS navigation. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety Work with a forklift to move materials Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner Safely secure and unstrap cylinders for transport Make deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize that this is a physically active role that keeps you moving throughout the day. Drivers will frequently exit their vehicle as part of their active routine ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years Must be able to work in a drug-free environment Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
