We are seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. The candidate is responsible for shipping and receiving inventory, picking and packing customer orders, loading and unloading shipments, helping to maintain inventory accuracy and quality, helping to ensure the warehouse remains organized, safe, and efficient, and other warehouse related tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and is comfortable performing physical warehouse duties. Hourly rate will be between $18 and $22 an hour and will be commensurate with factors such as experience and qualifications. Learn more at www.townfood.com Duties and Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Shipping Accurately pick products with the help of barcode scanners, according to sales orders. Pack and/or palletize products for shipment to customers and distributors. Pick and pack orders while inspecting items for damages and defects. Verify order quantities and product accuracy before shipment. Load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles. Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on order status and promptly resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies. Alert purchasing manager or warehouse manager of supplies needed. Receiving & Inventory Control Unload incoming shipments and receive with barcode scanners. Verify received quantities against purchase orders and packing lists. Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies. Unload inventory from trucks and containers and stock them in designated warehouse locations. Assist in stock checks, cycle counts and other inventory control activities. Bagging and labeling of items for sub-assemblies and kits. Report inventory discrepancies and damaged or defective items to management. Warehouse Operations Maintain floor working areas and floor environment by monitoring the floor for cleanliness, organization and proper locations for product and materials. Keep aisles, workstations, and docks safe and clear of garbage and excess materials. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements. Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified). Assist with warehouse projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities . Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull products up to 65 pounds. Frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to climb ladders and work in warehouse storage areas. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to cross train and work in warehouse and production areas based on the needs of the business. Preferred Experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a fast-paced environment. Understanding of shipping logistics, order picking & packing procedures, and trade compliance standards. Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
