Tower Laboratories is a leading effervescent product manufacturer in the U.S. We develop and manufacture over-the-counter medications, prescription pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, soft drink tablets and other consumer products on a contract basis. We are continually expanding our effervescent product base and currently have several new and interesting products in the research and development phase right now. We are a family owned company and have been in business for over 40 years.

1st shift schedule: 8 AM - 4 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for aspects of warehousing activities, both physical and administrative. Prepare finished product for delivery to customers.  Inventory raw materials. Use of electronic database to complete necessary documentation and paperwork. 

Perform all work in adherence to safety precautions, regulations and Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP). 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain adequate supply of packaging materials to the production line, as well as required paperwork; including maintaining accurate accountability of all packaging components and finished goods (use of electronic database).
  • Perform general material movement functions; (i.e. assist in removing completed pallets from production line; transport bulk powders and packaging materials from warehouse to production area).
  • Wrap skids as produced, enter into electronic database and put into designated storage area.
  • Drive company truck to and from facilities on occasional basis
  • Load and Unload trucks as required.
  • Inspect goods to ensure that there is no contamination or damage.
  • Maintain inventory of finished goods including keeping warehouse and racks organized, neat and clean.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area; promote safe working conditions.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established Safety, cGMP and company procedures.
  • Work as a team member; be cooperative with all departments and staff to meet company objectives.
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving  
  • Good driving skills, including commercial vehicles; good driving record
  • Ability to operate a fork lift; operation of a stand-up forklift a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Demonstrated computer skills for using database system to enter, retrieve and process information
  • Self starter with high level of motivation
  • Ability to read and follow directions, complete paperwork and communicate effectively in English
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to be a team player; good interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Good telephone skills; professional representation to outside vendors

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Must be able to wear required PPE: safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, dust mask as needed
  • Standing continuously during shift
  • Repetitive use of both hands; occasional reaching
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 200lbs with hand pallet jack
  • Wear sanitary gear such as hairnet, beard guard and gloves

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.
