Warehouse Associate-Receiving Team

Read's Uniforms specializes in public safety, medical, education, and hospitality uniforms. Our warehouse in Asheville services our 20+ retail stores and the public safety communities in 8 states. We are seeking an associate to work in our receiving department. Job duties include inspecting product as it comes in from the vendor, organizing orders, reading work orders, and running orders throughout the warehouse. A successful candidate will be a detail-oriented critical thinker that has a good memory. He/she will be project minded, get satisfaction from completing tasks efficiently. We will teach you everything you need to know about the uniform industry, embroidery, alterations, and anything else that might come up! The shift is 8:00-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. There is flexibility based on need once you are fully trained. Cross training in different departments is also available (when time allows). We have a full decoratons department including heat press, embroidery, and alterations. This provides our employees the opportunity to learn about all aspects of our business. Overtime is sometimes offered and is seasonally required. This job can be a jumping off point for the right person to grow within the company. People who start in the warehouse and learn the business from the ground up are in a great position to fill a larger role, as they come available. Responsibilities Inspect, allocate, and distribute orders as they come in from the vendor. Organize orders, get them ready for embroidery and alterations. Double check orders for accuracy. Collaborate with team members to meet customer deadlines.
