Warehouse Associate – Receiving & Inventory Counting

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our Receiving team. In this hands-on role, you will receive, count, inspect, and organize incoming merchandise while helping maintain accurate inventory records. This position is a good fit for someone with at least one year of warehouse experience who enjoys working with a team and learning new processes. Key Responsibilities Receive and process incoming merchandise; verify physical quantities against shipment documents and assigned count sheets. Sort and organize merchandise by category, size, color, and shipment requirements. Inspect items for damage, defects, shortages, or other discrepancies. Perform inventory counts and quality control (QC) spot-checks following provided inspection instructions. Accurately record counts and inspection results, and report discrepancies to the receiving team. Follow shipment-specific processing plans and work independently or with team members as assigned. Use pallet jacks and dollies to move merchandise and help maintain an organized work area. Assist with other receiving and warehouse tasks as needed. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of warehouse work experience. Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills, including entering and reviewing information. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, pay attention to detail, and learn new procedures. Ability to operate a manual pallet jack and dolly safely. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, using assistance or equipment for heavier loads. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry out physical warehouse tasks throughout the shift. Preferred Qualifications (A Plus) Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience with inventory counts, audits, or quality control inspections. Familiarity with handheld/RF scanners and label or thermal label printers. Current certification or documented training to operate forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Location: In person
