VP is hiring dedicated, dependable Warehouse Associates to help launch and grow our new Moncton operation. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse from day one. WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (Permanent Part-Time) Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate performs receiving, inventory, order-processing, shipping and cleaning duties. The position supports the accurate and efficient movement of products from receipt through final shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality and a clean, organized and safe working environment. Cleaning is an essential part of this position and includes the warehouse, break rooms, washrooms and other common areas. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Unload incoming shipments using appropriate material-handling equipment Verify received products against purchase orders and packing slips, identifying shortages, damage, expiry concerns or other discrepancies. Accurately record receipts, inventory movements and product-location information using handheld scanners and warehouse systems. Label and move received products to the appropriate reserve, storage or picking locations. Store and rotate products according to FIFO/FEFO requirements, including the proper handling and labelling of regulated or dangerous goods. Replenish picking locations and maintain accurate, organized inventory throughout the warehouse. Pick and verify customer orders to ensure the correct products and quantities are selected. Pack and label orders to protect products during transportation and prepare them for shipment. Operate pallet trucks, lift trucks and other warehouse equipment as licensed, or complete required training. Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Maintain cleanliness of shared facility spaces, including break rooms, washrooms, and other common areas as required. Transfer knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures as required. Perform other related warehouse duties as assigned. Physical Requirements The successful candidate must be able to perform the following essential physical requirements: Walk and stand for the duration of the shift Repetitively lift, carry and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) Bend, reach, climb, push and pull while safely completing warehouse tasks Work in varying warehouse temperatures Health & Safety Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows VP’s policies and procedures Demonstrate a commitment to the health and safety of themselves and others. Participates in required health and safety training and meetings, takes part in emergency drills, and understands emergency response and evacuation procedures Reports any health & safety violations or hazards to Supervisor and/or Manager Good Manufacturing Practices: Follows and understands all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
