Warehouse Associate - Parts Runner

About LSM LSM Heating Plumbing Electric has served Whatcom County since 1940. We provide heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and commercial refrigeration services to homes and businesses across Lynden, Bellingham, Ferndale, and Blaine. About the role Our Warehouse Associate / Parts Runner keeps our technicians supplied and on the job. You’ll receive freight, keep the warehouse and yard organized, and deliver parts to our crews in the field. This is a vital position: our crews and our freight deliveries count on you being here on time every day. Hours are typically 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with an early start to receive incoming trucks. What you’ll do Check in freight against packing slips and report shortages, damage, and back-orders Label and put away stock, help with cycle counts, and stage parts for upcoming jobs Deliver parts from our warehouse, or pick them up from supply houses, and run them to crews in the field on routes set by our dispatchers Return warranty and unused materials to vendors Drive an LSM company vehicle (not take-home), occasionally towing equipment on a flatbed trailer Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load, unload, and move freight Keep the warehouse, yard, and loading areas clean and safe, including trash and recycling inside and out, and the office trash What you need Reliable attendance, and reliable transportation to get to work in all weather A valid Washington driver’s license (no CDL required) and a clean driving record. You must qualify under our company auto insurance. Forklift experience (we’ll complete our own certification) Strong attention to detail, someone who catches the mistake on the packing slip before it becomes a wasted trip The ability to lift up to 50 lbs, help with team lifts of heavier equipment, and work outdoors in Pacific Northwest weather Comfort using a smartphone and basic computer or tablet tools Nice to have Warehouse, receiving, or delivery experience Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical parts Experience towing and backing a trailer Knowledge of Whatcom County roads and local supply houses Why LSM Company-paid medical and vision, a 401(k) with a 4% match, paid holidays, a company cell phone, and work clothing provided.
