RecruiterForgeJob summary The Warehouse Worker supports receiving, replenishment, order preparation, and inventory organization. This role involves unloading products promptly, maintaining accurate stock rotation, and preparing secure loads while following warehouse safety and food handling procedures. No previous experience is necessary; on-the-job training is provided. Warehouse duties Coordinate with transport drivers to receive incoming loads promptly and check receiving documents for accuracy. Store products, packaging, and equipment according to the approved warehouse layout. Use pick tickets to pick, pack, and load orders accurately. Load pallets onto trucks and ensure loads are stable and secure. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely. Inspect product quality, tag products and pallets correctly, and complete stock rotation. Confirm return labels have been approved before returning products to inventory. Ensure products are fully received and staged in the correct quantities. Replenish products that fall below minimum stock levels to meet daily order requirements. Clean spills immediately or mark off affected areas, keep emergency exits clear, and report hazards. Report equipment repair needs promptly and ensure preventive maintenance is completed. Follow safety rules, signs, tags, and assigned HACCP plans. Perform additional assigned responsibilities supporting warehouse operations. Requirements and training High school diploma or GED. No experience required; training is provided on the job. Ability to understand and follow written and spoken instructions. Basic reading skills, including recognizing differences between words and number sequences. Ability to write and speak simple sentences. Basic math skills involving U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance. Ability to communicate and remain focused in a loud environment. Ability to learn specialized tools and equipment used in warehouse operations. Availability for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Preferred qualifications Forklift and pallet jack experience. Forklift certification. Driver's license. Physical requirements Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand or walk for extended periods. Use hands and fingers to perform tasks accurately and with attention to detail. Observe and react to changing conditions to maintain safety. Working conditions Work takes place in a warehouse and distribution facility with large moving equipment, high noise levels, cold or freezing temperatures, wet conditions, hazardous materials, and production-related odors. The environment is well illuminated and requires protective equipment such as hair nets, gloves, and smocks.
