Warehouse Associate - Kitchener - Afternoons (S,M,Th,F 5p-3:30a)

Position Title: Warehouse Associate Department: Warehouse Position Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Shift: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday 5pm-3:30am. Position Summary: In this position, your day will consist of operating Material Handling Equipment to move around the warehouse to prepare products for shipping and/or receiving. You will be expected to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure the accuracy of the orders for customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate Material Handling Equipment, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check. Working in a variety of temperature zones from dry (15 degrees) to freezer (-20 degrees Celsius). Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices Other duties as assigned. General Duties Ensure the safety of trailers when in the loading dock. Assist Agropur drivers with off loading incoming cross dock freight. Assist the Agropur drivers with the retrieval of their freight as required. Store all un-needed freight in the appropriate storage areas. Stack, Wrap, and Store empty milk crates All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience. Experience operating material handling equipment – specifically reach truck and end rider Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality. Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas. A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices . Regular and reliable attendance. Ability to work all stat holidays Hours of work: Approximately 20 hours per week – 3:30am to approximately 7:30am Be Part of the Legacy!
