Warehouse Associate/Installer/Driver
ConfidentialMidwest Office Interiors, a division of Warehouse Direct, is seeking a dependable and versatile Warehouse Associate / Office Furniture Installer & Delivery Driver to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will bridge the gap between our warehouse operations and customer-facing deliveries. Your week will be split between safely managing warehouse unloading and loading trucks, operating forklift, driving delivery routes, and professionally assembling and installing commercial office furniture at client sites. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Forklift Operations Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks to load, unload, and stage incoming shipments. Inventory Control: Log, track, and maintain accurate inventory counts using our internal databases. Administrative Documentation: Utilize the Microsoft Office platform (Excel, Outlook, Word) to handle order confirmations, track logistics spreadsheets, and reply to client requests. Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse floor. Delivery & Furniture Installation Delivery Driving: Safely load, secure, transport, and unload office furniture deliveries to regional corporate clients. On-Site Installation: Review blueprints or installation layout plans to unpack, assemble, and precisely place office modular units, desks, chairs, and cubicle networks. Customer Service: Act as a professional brand ambassador on-site, communicating effectively with clients and ensuring high-quality final installations. Qualifications and Skills Experience: Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, corporate furniture installation, or commercial moving. Tech-Savvy: Proficient with the Microsoft Office platform (basic data entry in Excel, email management via Outlook). Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required). Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects up to 60+ lbs continuously, alongside frequent bending, kneeling, and assembling. Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools required for modular office furniture construction. Why Warehouse Direct?
