The Warehouse Associate I assists the shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams with the timely and accurate receiving, handling, distribution, and management of inventory. This individual is essential for making sure product is available and appropriately prepared for all customers, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate can adapt to constantly shifting logistics conditions and is able to manage their time accordingly. This position works closely with our Sales, Production, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams. Key Duties and Responsibilities Large Account Order Fulfillment: Pick, assemble and prepare large customer orders according to order specifications and shipping requirements. Verify product quantities, item numbers, lot numbers and other order details to ensure accuracy before shipment. Properly wrap, label and stage completed orders for scheduled customer pickups and outbound shipments. Ensure orders are fulfilled within established timelines while communicating inventory shortages, discrepancies or potential delays to the appropriate team members. Review order documentation and shipping records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilize the company's ERP system and applicable warehouse processes to accurately record and track inventory movements and order fulfillment activities. Coordinate with the Distribution team to prioritize orders and support efficient fulfillment and shipping operations. Shipping & Receiving Support: Assist with UPS, FedEx and other small parcel shipping processes as needed, including preparing shipping labels and documentation. Support general shipping and receiving activities, including processing inbound and outbound shipments. Examine and compare shipment contents against purchase orders, shipping records, and manifests to verify accuracy. Maintain and update shipping and receiving documentation within the company's ERP system. Provide backup support to other members of the shipping and warehouse teams as operational needs arise. Warehouse Organization & Inventory Management: Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to ensure proper product identification, storage, accessibility and inventory accuracy. Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts and the identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies. Follow established inventory rotation, product handling and traceability procedures. Maintain organized staging and storage areas to support efficient order fulfillment and warehouse operations. Warehouse Equipment & Maintenance: Operate appropriate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, scales, banders, labelers and wrapping equipment, as trained and authorized. Stage, load, unload and stock inbound and outbound deliveries safely and efficiently. Properly handle, move and secure products to prevent damage during storage, handling and shipment. Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment in accordance with company safety and food safety standards. Team Support & Training: Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, receiving and production personnel to support daily operational needs. Assist in training and guiding new or less experienced associates on warehouse procedures and equipment, as needed. Remain flexible in supporting other warehouse functions during periods of increased workload, staffing shortages or changing operational priorities.
