Warehouse Associate - Glass & Glazing Company

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our logistics and installation support team. In this role, you will manage incoming shipments, prepare materials for our daily installation routes, and ensure fragile glass and door components are handled safely. The ideal candidate has strong physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and an eye for quality control. Key Responsibilities: · Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming shipments of windows, glass panes, doors, and hardware. Inspect all deliveries for cracks, scratches, or manufacturing defects. Report discrepancies and damage to management immediately. · Staging & Loading: Accurately pull and stage materials for the next day's installation routes. Assist installation crews with loading trucks safely. Ensure glass items are properly secured for transit. · Inventory & Care: Move, sort, and organize inventory into proper storage racks. Maintain precise counts of stock to prevent project delays. · Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and glass suction lifts. Transport fragile, oversized materials carefully throughout the facility. · Facility Upkeep: Keep the staging area, walkways, and loading docks completely free of debris. Proactively remove hazards like broken glass, packing plastic, and trash. Requirements & Qualifications: · Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and walk for an entire shift, and comfortably lift up to 75 lbs. · Fragile Goods Handling: Experience handling fragile or high-value building products (especially glass) is highly preferred. · Pace & Accuracy: Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where minor count errors can derail a customer's entire installation timeline. · Equipment Experience: A valid forklift certification is a strong plus; otherwise, a willingness to be trained and certified is required. · Reliability: Excellent attendance habits and punctual morning arrivals are essential to keep our installation crews on schedule. · Job Experience: Knowledge of glass and glazing industry a plus.
