Warehouse Associate – General Labor & Light Cleaning

Job Description Portmantos Inc., a growing distributor of luggage and travel accessories, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Utility Associate to join our team in Metuchen, NJ. This position combines routine light cleaning responsibilities with general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean and organized restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas each day. Once daily cleaning responsibilities are completed, the employee will assist with general warehouse operations as assigned. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean workplace, is reliable, and is willing to assist wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Daily Cleaning & Facility Maintenance Clean and sanitize employee restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops. Wipe down tables, countertops, and other surfaces in employee breakrooms. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors in designated areas as needed. Restock restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Maintain cleanliness of common areas and shared workspaces. Notify management when cleaning supplies need replenishment. General Warehouse Support Assist with picking, packing, and preparing customer orders. Help organize and maintain warehouse inventory. Assist with receiving, sorting, and putting away merchandise. Move, organize, and stage products as directed. Break down cardboard boxes and assist with general warehouse housekeeping. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous warehouse or light cleaning experience preferred but not required. Comfortable performing daily restroom and breakroom cleaning. Willingness to perform general warehouse work after cleaning duties are completed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
