Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate and Driver, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely deliveries. Responsibilities Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, carpet poles and order pick-ups/deliveries with company van, unload, and transport materials safely. Pack and prepare orders for shipping with precision and go through Work Orders with installers at loading times. First thing at 8am installers will be waiting outside ready to be loaded. Prior day/days organization of materials to be loaded is required for timely release of installers the following day. Conduct manual handling of materials, heavy lifting, and proper packaging. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols; verify shipments against shipping & receiving documents. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, stocking shelves systematically for easy access. Follow safety procedures diligently, heavy equipment operation protocols. Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment through accurate order picking and packing processes. Support warehouse supervision by adhering to warehouse operations standards and participating in safety training sessions. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items Unload delivery trucks check in deliveries quantities and descriptions that they match what was ordered and mark if anything is missing before truck driver leaves so can mark on delivery ticket. pack up returns and place label in a secure fashion to ensure a successful return of material and place in an easy to reach place for a quick pick up by driver. Experience Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, or pallet jacks within a warehouse distribution environment is highly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic computer and data-entry skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management. Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment operation , load/unload machinery, and manual handling techniques. Familiarity with warehouse safety for safe lifting, packaging, and shipping procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stock accurately. Experience in logistics or warehouse distribution roles that involved order picking & packing, shipping & receiving tasks. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for inventory counts and order processing. Prior warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles are advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Valid Driver's License required for this position.
