Warehouse Associate (Conferences) As an exciting and fast-growing leader in the international corporate event and tradeshow exhibit industry, Pro-X Event is looking to expand our team with a dedicated, hands-on Warehouse Associate for our Conferences Production Team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys an active, fast-paced environment, takes pride in getting the details right, and understands the importance of doing things properly the first time. From assembling structures to carefully counting, checking, and packing equipment, this role requires someone who is organized, thorough, and proactive. We're looking for someone who doesn't simply check a task off the list, but takes ownership of their work, catches the little things others might miss, and makes sure every project is ready to go. Location: Mississauga, Ontario (In-Office) Starting Rate: 20–25.00/hour, with a guaranteed 35 hours per week Responsibilities Follow detailed pick-and-pack lists to pick, pull, stage, and organize materials and equipment for upcoming projects. Carefully pack and unpack equipment and materials into designated crates and cases, ensuring everything is accounted for, properly protected, and packed neatly and securely. Count, recount, and verify equipment against packing lists to ensure orders are complete and accurate before they leave the facility. Assemble and dismantle structures and other conference-related components as required. Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect items and proactively flag discrepancies before they become project issues. Load and unload crates and cases from shipping and receiving trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely. Maintain accurate inventory using our warehouse management system and ensure equipment is returned to its proper location. Perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pump trucks when required and appropriately certified. Work closely with the Conferences team and other departments to keep projects organized, meet deadlines, and ensure materials are prepared to the expected standard. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Qualifications Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and spot discrepancies others might overlook. A methodical approach to counting, checking, and packing, with a commitment to ensuring every item is accounted for before a project leaves the facility. Comfortable working hands-on in a warehouse environment, including assembling structures, handling equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Highly organized and dependable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Takes initiative, anticipates potential issues, and raises questions or concerns rather than making assumptions. Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows them through to completion without needing constant direction or reminders. Able to work independently while communicating and collaborating effectively with multiple departments. Comfortable working a flexible schedule when required to meet project deadlines. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in warehousing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, assembly, or a similar hands-on environment is an asset.
