Warehouse Associate/Class A Driver

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM until job completion | Home daily Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Warehouse Associate/CDL Class A Driver supports daily sales and distribution operations at our St Louis, MO wholesale distribution facility. This role is responsible for performing warehouse operations including order fulfillment, freight handling, and material movement, while also safely delivering paper, packaging, industrial, and wide-format supplies and equipment to customers as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and delivery environment. Major Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Load and unload trucks and handle stock using forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks Pull and stage orders based on pick tickets Operate powered stretch-wrap machines as needed Verify order accuracy and product integrity prior to shipment Maintain housekeeping and organization standards within the warehouse Complete all assigned tasks safely and efficiently · Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership Delivery Operations Load and unload cargo frequently using hand trucks and pallet jacks Make multiple customer deliveries per day on local and regional multi-stop routes Safely maneuver delivery vehicles in tight and complex delivery locations Interact directly with customers at delivery sites to confirm delivery and pickup needs Handle customer payments and process delivery paperwork, including receipts and delivery confirmation documents Use handheld electronic devices for proof of delivery Maintain accurate Driver’s Logs in compliance with DOT requirements using an electronic logging device Report road incidents, delivery issues, or delays to the supervisor promptly Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies Maintain cleanliness and proper working condition of vehicles and delivery equipment Report any serious mechanical issues to appropriate personnel Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Six (6) months of delivery experience and one (1) year of order selection experience preferred Valid Class A driver’s license Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card Comfortable operating in tight delivery locations Ability to operate both power and manual pallet jacks Forklift and material-handling equipment experience preferred Flexible and dependable, with the ability to adapt to changing routes and workloads Strong customer service orientation Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, teamwork, and a diverse workplace Willingness to take direction and collaborate to accomplish team goals Key Competencies Functional and technical proficiency Customer-focused mindset Planning and organizational skills Dependability and accountability Ability to manage workload and priorities effectively Dedicated, conscientious, trustworthy, and reliable Physical Requirements Work performed primarily in a warehouse and delivery environment Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds Frequent loading and unloading throughout the workday Continuous use of pallet jacks and hand trucks Ability to safely work around material-handling equipment (MHE) Benefits Home every night; no weekend routes Competitive, reliable bi-weekly pay with overtime opportunities Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment Paid vacation and paid holidays Career advancement and promotion-from-within opportunities Generous retirement benefits, including 401(k) savings plan Flexible scheduling available for certain roles About Athens Paper Founded in 1952, Athens Paper is one of the largest privately owned distributors of paper, packaging, and wide-format products in the United States.
