Great Plains Food BankBismarck Warehouse Associate & Local Driver Accountable to: Bismarck Operations Manager Department: Operations Employment Status: Non-Exempt Hours: Full Time Location: Bismarck Base Compensation Rate : $20.00-$25.00/Hr. Revision Date : January 27, 2026 Position Purpose Responsible for supporting the warehouse operations through receiving, handling, storing, transferring, and picking activities for distribution of products; assisting with volunteer services; covering local retail rescue routes within the Bismarck-Mandan metro; and assisting with inventory control through proper documentation of incoming and outgoing orders. Core Accountabilities and Essential Duties 1. Warehouse Work Supports distribution, inventory and cleaning activities in the warehouse. · Responds to agency pickup requests that are scheduled through agency services that include assisting loading partner agency or volunteer vehicles. · Sweeps, dusts, or mops warehouse to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in accordance with AIB standards and regulations. · Maintains and organizes loading dock, cooler and freezer area daily to ensure efficiency. · Picks partner agency orders in an accurate and efficient manner from warehouse floor and/or cooler and freezer section. · Assists with shipping/receiving of products including loading and unloading of trucks as assigned · Checks-in merchandise and tracks inventory if needed. · Moves merchandise from receiving and storage areas to shipping or designated areas. · Places items on racks, shelves, or bins according to product codes and/or warehouse safety standards. · Verifies goods received through inventory counts and documentation. · Rotates stock to ensure food safety measures are followed. · Maintains and organizes supply and packaging materials. · Assists with any cycle, monthly or yearly inventory counts if needed. 2. Volunteer Assistance Supports volunteers and Operations Manager as needed. · Sets up and assists with projects for volunteers, mobiles, backpacks, CSFP repacks, etc. · Assists volunteer drivers with loading products for deliveries · Provide tour supervision to evening and weekend volunteers · Sanitize and clean repack tables, supplies and all equipment used in the repack area · Clean repack center as required using master cleaning schedules. · Weigh, count and assign storage locations 3. Route Delivery (Driving) Picks up and delivers products along assigned route. · Drives vehicle for the purpose of transporting products to/from specified destinations on a schedule or if needed due to staffing needs. · Ensures the safe operation and proper loading of assigned vehicle. · Operates forklift and utilizes other equipment/tools to load/unload orders. · Identifies and plans safe routes to ensure economical use of time and equipment. · Picks up and delivers products to charitable organizations. · Ensures orders and product are processed in accordance with standards. · Inspects products. · Loads and unloads product. · Ensures inventory matches intake and order paperwork. · Maintains logs of picked up and delivered products. 4. Reporting/Paperwork Ensures thorough and timely completion of inventory reporting. · Completes paperwork as required. · Keep accurate inventory and item weights to ensure conformance to procesures · Perform receipting actions for repack items 5. Other Duties · Establishes and maintains effective, courteous relationships with employees, supervisors, clients, vendors, and the public. · Attends meetings and training as required. · Unloads/loads inbound and outbound trailers.
