Warehouse Associate and CDL Driver

The role You drive the truck and you work the floor. You pick material up at the customer's site, bring it back to our warehouse in Waldorf, and get it unloaded and put away. When you are not on the road you are on the forklift or on the dock. This is a steady, local, daytime driving job. Home every night, no overnights, no weekends. What you will do Drive a box truck between Waldorf, Maryland and a customer site in Virginia — roughly 40 minutes each way. Load material at the customer's dock and secure it for transport. Unload, receive and stow material at our warehouse. Operate a forklift safely and daily. Pick, stage and load outbound shipments and make deliveries to end users. Help with physical inventories and cycle counts. Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks and report anything that needs attention. Keep the dock and the floor clean and safe. What you need High school diploma or GED equivalent. A valid state commercial driver's license, held on your first day. We cannot hire on a promise to obtain one. Two years of experience driving a motor vehicle with a CDL. OSHA certified and trained to operate a forklift. One year of warehouse operations experience — picking, shipping, loading and unloading by hand, transporting or delivering goods. A clean driving record. What helps Experience driving onto a secure or controlled-access site. Experience with an ERP or warehouse management system. Experience handling or transporting hazardous material. An active Secret clearance. Working conditions and physical requirements Warehouse environment. Heated, with destratification fans, powered ventilation and spot cooling. Temperature varies seasonally. Loading dock work in all weather. Standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing in and out of a truck for the full shift. Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds by hand, occasionally more with assistance or equipment. Driving several hours a day. Subject to DOT and company drug and alcohol testing. Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable federal background investigation and national security eligibility. Candidates who already hold an active Secret clearance are strongly preferred. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Employment is contingent on our client accepting your qualifications for the role. We submit a written certification before anyone begins work. This position is on site in Waldorf, Maryland. It is not remote and it is not hybrid. Sign and comply with a non-disclosure agreement, and complete training on handling Controlled Unclassified Information. This role works with sensitive client information every day and you will be expected to protect it.
