Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator Position: Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator Department: Warehouse & Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Work Environment: Food Manufacturing / Warehouse Facility Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, organization, loading, and unloading of products and materials throughout our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and be comfortable performing both forklift and general warehouse duties. This is a hands-on position. Candidates should be willing to assist wherever needed to keep the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other approved material-handling equipment. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. Move finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies throughout the warehouse. Put away incoming materials in their designated warehouse locations. Pull and stage products for production, customer orders, and outbound shipments. Verify products, quantities, lot numbers, and other information when receiving or moving inventory. Properly stack and organize pallets to maximize warehouse space while maintaining safe storage practices. Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment. Assist with pallet organization and inventory rotation. Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures when applicable. Inspect pallets and products for damage and report discrepancies to management. Maintain accurate movement and location of inventory. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as assigned. Keep aisles, loading areas, docks, and warehouse spaces clean and free of unnecessary clutter. Remove damaged pallets, cardboard, shrink wrap, and other warehouse debris from work areas. Perform basic daily forklift inspections before operation. Immediately report forklift damage, equipment problems, spills, product damage, or safety concerns. Follow company food safety, warehouse safety, sanitation, and quality procedures. Assist production and other departments with material movement as needed. Perform other reasonable warehouse and facility-support duties as assigned. Forklift Requirements Previous forklift operating experience preferred . Experience loading and unloading trailers strongly preferred. Must demonstrate safe forklift operation before being authorized to operate company equipment. Must understand proper pallet handling, stacking, load stability, and warehouse traffic safety. Forklift certification is preferred; company training/evaluation may be required before operating equipment independently. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience preferred. Previous forklift experience required. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail when handling inventory and shipments. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to perform general warehouse duties in addition to forklift operation. Must maintain a clean and organized work area. Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or consumer packaged goods is a plus. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as required. Safely climb on and off forklift equipment. Work around moving equipment and active warehouse operations. Work in varying warehouse temperatures. Perform repetitive material-handling activities throughout the shift.
