Warehouse Associate

JOB PURPOSE: To assure proper materials and quantity are shipped and routed to their proper locations to companies outside the plant. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: · Frequent sitting, standing, or walking · Normal vision and hearing · Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching · Frequent handling and fingering · Eye-hand-foot coordination and manual dexterity · Ability to write, read, and distinguish numbers and symbols · Ability to count and perform simple mathematical operations · Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 lbs. · Occasional pushing and pulling · Requires judgment within prescribed standards, considerable judgment required to drive motor vehicle ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Use forklift. · Use computer to type and enter data · Occasionally push buttons or pull levers · Drive a motor vehicle to deliver or pick up materials · Occasionally, lift and carry boxes and place onto pallet or rack · Use pick list to determine orders to pull and prepare for shipment · Print and prepare shippers. · Schedule freight lines for daily pickups. · Coordinate and communicate with sales and production control. · Must be able to rotate and move around throughout home and other departments, as needed.
