Warehouse Associate

Job Summary Our client, a local distributing company, is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within the warehouse, including receiving incoming shipments, picking and packing orders, verifying product accuracy, and ensuring timely and accurate customer service and warehouse operations. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team to meet daily targets. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments of packaging supplies and materials. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe manner to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Maintain an organized and clean warehouse by following safety and housekeeping standards. Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock management to ensure accurate record-keeping. Safely handle and store packaging materials, including shrink wrap, corrugated boxes, tapes, and other supplies. Assist in quality control by inspecting products for defects or discrepancies. Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding warehouse operations and equipment use. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping and receiving goals. Requirements: Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with knowledge of warehouse management systems being an asset. Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory control practices is beneficial. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (over 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately in a busy environment.
