Warehouse Associate Location: Norwell Ma Department: Operations / Supply Chain Reports To: Warehouse Manager Overview The Warehouse Associate supports the daily operation of the Blue Bear Plumbing, Heating & Air warehouse. This role keeps materials, tools, and equipment received, stocked, organized, and ready for our field technicians and install teams. The right candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and likes staying busy in a fast-paced environment. The warehouse is the heartbeat of the company. You'll play a key part in keeping our trucks stocked, our jobs staged, and our techs on the road without delay. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Receive, inspect, and put away incoming deliveries of HVAC, plumbing, and related parts and materials. Check shipments against purchase orders and report shortages, damage, or errors. Scan and log items in our inventory system (ServiceTitan, Google Sheets, or scanners). Help with weekly cycle counts and quarterly physical inventories. Restock returned or unused parts and flag items for credit or return. Job Staging & Truck Support Pull and stage materials and equipment for upcoming installs, usually 24–48 hours ahead. Load install trucks and restock service vehicles so they're organized and meet our standard. Make local deliveries and supply house pickup as needed. Check tools in and out and help track tool assignments and returns. Let the warehouse lead or office know right away about material shortages or job readiness issues. Returns & Vendor Support Prepare returns and warranty items for pickup or drop-off, with the right paperwork. Keep packing slips, receipts, and RMA documents organized and filed. Warehouse Organization & Safety Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe every day. Maintain labeled staging zones for upcoming jobs and completed returns. Store flammable and hazardous materials according to company, OSHA, and local rules. Sort scrap metal and recycling so nothing of value gets thrown out. Report maintenance needs on vehicles and warehouse equipment. Follow warehouse procedures and suggest ways to make things run smoother. Qualifications 1+ year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred (HVAC, plumbing, or construction a plus). We'll train the right person. Basic familiarity with plumbing and HVAC parts is a plus, and we're willing to teach. Comfortable with basic computer use, scanners, and smartphones or tablets. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on your feet in warehouse conditions. Reliable, punctual, and organized, with a strong work ethic. Team player who communicates clearly with techs, installers, and office staff.
