Warehouse Associate Job Description Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA Starting Salary: $18.00/hour Overview The Warehouse Associate is responsible for fulfilling a wide variety of tasks within our warehouse. This position is the backbone of our service and quality, as every product that comes through the warehouse is handled by a Warehouse Associate. Warehouse organization, production support, and safety are just a few of the responsibilities of this versatile team member. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be trained in all areas of warehouse operations, including warehouse safety, forklift operation, material handling, inventory control, and more. Duties Follow instructions from the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness. Receive and unload inbound freight shipments. Make job-site deliveries as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and light machinery to prepare materials for storage. Complete physical inventory counts of multiple products. Maintain and troubleshoot tools and equipment. Run necessary errands to acquire tools and materials. Support the Warehouse Manager with daily operations and warehouse tasks. Promote and uphold our culture of excellence. Requirements Strong commitment to workplace safety. Team player with a willingness to do what is needed to get the job done. Confident, dependable, and self-motivated. Well-organized and able to follow established systems to maintain an efficient warehouse. Experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, and basic power tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Experience driving a heavy-duty pickup truck with a trailer is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate. Overall willingness to do whatever it takes to support the team and accomplish daily goals. Work Environment Ability to stand and work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Ability to walk, reach overhead, bend, and crouch for extended periods throughout the day. Must be able to lift and move products weighing up to 80 lbs. This is a physically demanding position. Steel-toed boots and jeans/work pants are required. Company-provided T-shirts, sweatshirts, and basic PPE are provided. Smoke-free and drug-free workplace.
