Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent
Pay:

  • $17.00/hour

  • Pay increase upon permanent hire: $18.00–$19.00/hour

Monday – Friday

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (most needed)

  • Overtime as needed

Job Overview

We are hiring Warehouse Associates for a busy distribution center that supports construction jobsites nationwide. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, packing, and shipping building materials accurately and efficiently. This position is essential to keeping projects on schedule and ensuring materials arrive safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound materials by unloading trucks and inspecting shipments

  • Verify materials against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies

  • Label boxes, organize pallets, and store materials in designated locations

  • Move materials to and from production lines and staging areas

  • Pick, kit, and stage materials by project for outbound shipments

  • Inspect, wrap, weigh, and load pallets for shipment

  • Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and material transfers

  • Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, scissor lifts)

    • Training and certification provided

  • Use handheld scanners and tablets to process tasks and document materials

  • Follow on-screen instructions and troubleshoot basic issues

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds

  • Ability to push carts weighing up to 60 pounds

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift

  • Ability to use carts, dollies, and hand trucks

  • Ability to climb stairs where applicable

  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet or on a mezzanine (where applicable)

  • Ability to work in a physically active environment

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

  • Prior warehouse experience and forklift certification preferred but not required

  • Basic computer skills (email and warehouse systems)

  • Ability to read and interpret part numbers

  • Strong basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)

  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and productivity standards

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Dress Code / PPE

  • Long pants (jeans or khakis; clothing may get dirty)

  • T-shirts or polos permitted (no offensive messages)

  • Closed-toe shoes required

  • Safety vest provided
