Warehouse Associate

Overview: Scheels is seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our team as a Warehouse Associate at our Fargo Fulfillment Center. This vital role is central to the efficient operation of our e-commerce and store fulfillment processes, ensuring that our customers and stores receive their orders accurately and promptly. Responsibilities: The Warehouse Associate performs a diverse range of functions that contribute to the overall success of the fulfillment center. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Order Fulfillment (Pick and Pack): Accurately selecting merchandise from warehouse shelves (picking) based on order tickets and securely packaging items (packing) for shipment. This requires strict attention to detail to ensure correct item, size, and quantity are processed. Inventory Receiving: Unloading, inspecting, and meticulously counting incoming freight from vendors. This involves verifying that the received goods match the purchase orders and processing the items into the inventory management system. Freight Management (Loading and Unloading): Manage shipping and receiving operations, including the safe loading and unloading of shipments using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Facility Organization and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, safe, and highly organized work environment, including stocking shelves, consolidating inventory, and ensuring all aisles and work areas are clear of debris and obstructions. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fun, fast-paced environment while maintaining a certain level of professionalism Strong self-starter with a proactive approach to staying consistently busy. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and effective problem-solving skills. Aptitude for adapting and shifting between various job responsibilities as workflow dictates. Proficiency in navigating and operating a personal computer and handheld inventory computer/scanner. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and use spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) to make informed decisions. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling courteous and professional coordination with diverse teams, vendor partners, and freight carriers. Forward-thinking mindset, focused on envisioning and supporting future growth and expansion. Must be flexible to work an average of 40 hours per week, with the required availability being between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be included in the schedule. This position is located at the Scheels Fulfillment Center in Fargo, which is a separate facility from any Scheels retail store.
