Overview: ASF is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our warehouse team. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing products accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements. The Warehouse Associate helps ensure inventory is properly handled, customer orders are fulfilled accurately, and warehouse operations run smoothly. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. What You'll Do Shipping & Receiving Control the flow of shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks. Verify incoming merchandise and match purchase orders to shipments. Distribute receiving documentation to appropriate personnel for processing. Assist with shipping preparation and outbound order fulfillment. Prepare parcels and packages for shipment according to company standards. Inventory & Material Handling Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine required inventory movements. Move materials and products from receiving or storage areas to shipping or designated warehouse locations. Sort and place products on racks, shelves, and storage bins according to established warehouse procedures. Maintain organized inventory locations and support inventory accuracy initiatives. Assist with stock replenishment and material movement throughout the warehouse. Order Fulfillment Pick and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently. Place completed orders on pallets, shelves, or designated staging locations for shipment. Fill requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials, tools, and stock items. Verify order accuracy prior to shipment. Weigh and count materials and products to ensure compliance with company requirements and customer specifications. Warehouse Operations Support Complete requisition forms to request supplies from other departments when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and facility maintenance duties as assigned. Operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices safely and effectively. Follow all company quality standards, procedures, and work instructions. Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and operational success. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of three months of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or related experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work instructions. Ability to prepare routine reports and basic written communications. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. HI-LO/Forklift experience preferred. Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds independently and heavier items with appropriate lifting equipment or assistance.
