2nd Shift Warehouse / Forklift Operator Company: Mid-Am Building Supply Location: Mount Pleasant, IA Pay: $21.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Lunch: 30-minute lunch break Safety Bonus: Eligible to earn a $100 quarterly safety bonus when earned Position Summary Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious 2nd Shift Warehouse / Forklift Operator to join our team in Mount Pleasant, Iowa! In this role, you will support daily warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, picking and preparing customer orders, stocking incoming materials, and loading outbound shipments. We're looking for a reliable team player who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and organize building materials. Load outbound trucks and company or customer vehicles, ensuring materials are properly handled and secured. Receive, stock, and organize inbound merchandise in designated warehouse locations. Accurately pull and prepare customer orders from available inventory. Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock levels. Inspect materials for accuracy and report damaged products or discrepancies to supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse by sweeping, removing debris, and keeping work areas clear. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily shipping and warehouse goals. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions, shipping documents, and warehouse procedures. Ability to successfully complete company-provided forklift training and pass the required forklift operator evaluation. Strong safety mindset with a commitment to following established procedures, recognizing potential hazards, and maintaining a safe work environment. Basic math, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Dependable attendance and availability to work the scheduled second shift. Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience. Forklift operating experience preferred. Familiarity with building materials such as roofing, siding, windows, doors, decking, and related products.
