Warehouse Associate

Job Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Franklin Park, IL Pay: $17/hour Work Schedule: 24-30 hours per week Typical Hours: Weekdays - 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our daily sorting and processing operations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a small team and minimal customer interaction. You’ll be responsible for sorting incoming materials, scanning items using our inventory system, and helping maintain an organized and efficient workflow throughout the warehouse. Key Responsibilities: Sort and scan books and media using a barcode-based inventory system Accurately route items to the appropriate distribution channels Load and unload rolling book bins and assist with pallet movement Stage, organize, and maintain warehouse work areas Load and unload trucks Support general warehouse operations Pick and Pack Orders Move quickly and safely What We’re Looking For: Strong and consistent attention to detail and accuracy Reliable attendance and punctuality Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision Comfortable working in a physically active environment Experience: Previous dock and warehouse experience preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently Ability to pull or push a pallet jack and rolling book bins Ability to work in a warehouse environment in varying temperatures Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift continuously for extended periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets Benefits: Flexible part-time schedule Free access to books, movies, video games, and CDs Headphone-friendly workplace environment Accrued Paid Time Off Additional Information: This is a part-time, non-exempt position. New hires are subject to an introductory period of up to 90 days, during which performance, attendance, and overall fit will be evaluated.
