Warehouse Associate

Pay: From $16.00 per hour Job description: Full Job Description: We are looking to grow our team with individuals who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for our clients. We are seeking warehouse associates who will receive shipments of goods, pick and prepare materials for shipping, prepare materials for the production team, operate a forklift, create shipping labels, and perform a few other tasks. The associates must be computer-literate and be able to switch between multiple computer systems to complete the order fulfillment process. Prior experience is desired but not a requirement. Promotion opportunities are available as the team expands. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends included. Schedule: Monday thru Friday Some weekend work is required Overtime available Responsibilities: Loading trucks manually: lift, lower, or carry product up to a maximum of 75 pounds by hand Print labels for orders, which can lead to dialogue with other departments such as finance and customer support. Ensure the warehouse is clean, secure and safe at all times Unload incoming containers by placing pallets in designated areas Perform inventory counts every quarter to maintain proper on-hand May perform critical functions by filling in for other staff while they are out on vacation. Opportunity to train and onboard new hires Review shipping costs and pick shipping methods that make sense for the customer and Hatching Time Package items to reduce damage during shipping and achieve the lowest possible shipping costs. Some weekend work will be required from February through May. If requested, attend Hatching Time-sponsored events. Requirements: Must be computer literate Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications) Bonus Skills: Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as a pallet jack and/or cherry picker, is helpful Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.) Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering the boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.) Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, etc.) Experience working in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with co-workers, joint problem solving, etc.) Starting Salary: $16 per hour Job Type: Contract to Hire Job Types: Full-time (1) and Part-time (1), Contract Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday with some Saturdays required Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Warehouse distribution: 1 year (Preferred) Language: English (Required), Spanish Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Work Location: In person Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
