Warehouse Associate

Job Summary We’re hiring a Warehouse Associate to help keep inventory organized and moving through our facility. Your shifts involve receiving deliveries, putting product away in the right locations, and pulling items when orders need to go out. You’ll use a handheld scanner and a hand truck, and we’ll show you how both work on your first day. Mornings are usually when trucks show up. It’s mostly on your feet with regular lifting, and the pace picks up fast during peak weeks in a fast-paced environment, though it settles back down after. Some days feel long, others don’t. Responsibilities Unloading trucks and checking cartons against the packing slip. Put incoming stock away on the correct shelf or pallet rack Scanning items in and out Pull products for outgoing orders and bring them to the shipping area, usually in batches of ten or twenty Keeping aisles clear and walkways free of loose wrap Stacking pallets neatly so they don’t tip Sometimes helping with end-of-month inventory counts, which your supervisor will post ahead of time. Qualifications Spotting a damaged carton or a mislabeled item before it gets shelved comes with paying attention as you work. Showing up on time for your shifts matters, since trucks don’t wait and the rest of the crew counts on a full team. You can read labels, packing slips and short written instructions in English, and you can follow spoken directions from a lead. When several things need doing at once, you stay calm and take them in order. We generally show new people how our shelf locations are numbered, so being open to learning is what counts. Treating coworkers with respect and lending a hand when someone’s section is behind helps the whole shift. Planning your tasks so a delivery is put away before the next one arrives takes steady time management.
